Overview

As of 2022 the Australian Renewable Energy Agency has funded 663 energy projects for early-stage research or development. Combined with the Climate Change Act 2022 which targets a 43% emissions reduction by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2050, the landscape for renewables in Australia is set for growth. ARI has demonstrated experience in the inspection and testing of numerous renewable sectors, including construction and in-service inspection of wind farms.

Our Renewable Energy Inspection Services

Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
We utilise advanced NDT techniques such as phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT), time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD), and eddy current testing to assess structural integrity in critical components, from wind turbine towers and blades to hydrogen storage tanks and pressure systems.

Pressure Vessel & Tank Inspection
ARI’s certified inspectors perform detailed pressure vessel and tank inspections to verify compliance, safety, and reliability. Our services cover energy storage systems, heat exchangers, and hydrogen processing facilities, ensuring each asset meets Australian Standards and project specifications.

Non-Destructive Testing
We offer a full suite of conventional NDT methods, including ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and radiographic testing, to detect flaws in welds, towers, and support structures. These inspections play a critical role in maintaining asset reliability and safety across renewable infrastructure.

Weld Inspection, Welder Qualification & Procedures
Our team delivers weld inspection, welder qualification testing, and procedure development to support renewable energy construction projects. All testing is performed in accordance with AS/NZS and international standards, ensuring weld quality and long-term performance in harsh environments.

Shut Downs & Project Support
ARI provides inspection services for planned shut downs and large-scale renewable projects, offering rapid-response testing, condition assessment, and certification to keep projects running on schedule and within compliance.

Materials Testing
Our materials testing services include mechanical, chemical, and metallurgical analysis to verify the quality and performance of materials used in turbines, solar infrastructure, and pressure systems.
